The Book Festival (2005)

On September 23 the 4th Tukums District Book Festival took place in Slampe. The festival was opened by the Minister of Education Ms I.Druviete.

Pupils of Year 4 met the editors of the popular children`s magazine "Spicā" and took part in the stained glass workshop "Eyes to the world".
It was very exciting to meet the authors. The poet Rihards Bargais read his verses and Knuts Skujenieks told about his experiences in Siberia where he had been deported and read some of his poetry as well.

We enjoyed taking part in the festival a lot!
